Watch: Law Roach Shares Zendaya’s REACTION to His Retirement
Law Roach is already feeling euphoric about the 2025 Met Gala.
The fashion stylist—whose client list has included Zendaya, Celine Dion and Anya Taylor-Joy—shared his thoughts on the recently-announced 2025 exhibition title for fashion’s biggest night, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The event will be inspired specifically by Monica L. Miller’s book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, and explore the style of Black men through the years.
“I am pleasantly surprised and honored,” Law exclusively told E! News at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Oct. 15, “that such a huge body are finally paying homage to the contribution that my people have made to fashion. It makes me feel good.”
And the 46-year-old—who said it’s too “early” to know if he’ll go to the 2025 Met Gala—has certainly made his mark when it comes to contributing to fashion. Over the years, Law has been responsible for virtually all of Zendaya’s red carpet looks, from the body-hugging, wet leather look she wore to the 2021 Venice Film Festival to the iconic robot suit she wore to the London premiere of Dune: Part 2.
That special bond with the Euphoriaactress has been so fruitful, in fact, Law has stepped away from styling other celebrities, which initially caused confusion to his fans.
“I’m not saying I’m retiring from fashion,” he clarified to Vogue in March. “I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I’m retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it: the being in service and at service of other people. That’s what I’m retiring from.”

And while Law told E! News he is unsure about his plans for attending the 2025 Met Gala, it is definitely a space he knows well.

For the 2024 event in May, Law styled Zendaya—who served as co-chair alongside Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth—in a John Galliano-inspired Maison Margiela mermaid-cut gown with hummingbird and poison ivy motifs to fit the “Garden of Time” theme. Her ensemble stood out even more thanks to a veiled fascinator and bold maroon eye makeup.
